Giving birth to a baby becomes safer with Raydiant Oximetry. Unnecessary C-sections are performed very frequently during childbirth. One of the reasons to perform one is if a newborn is detected to be distressed during the labor. The common techniques to detect a child’s level of stress are often inaccurate, leading to health complications for a child or an unnecessary risk to a mother added by the C-section procedure. Raydiant Oximetry is working on a device to measure a baby's condition more accurately and recently raised 5M to scale their product further. Read more here.
Could delaying menopause by tweaking the ovarian cycle increase women’s longevity? Daisy Robinton is researching the discomfort that surrounds the menopause stage of life, and is looking for a way to stave off that uncomfortable time to help women lead longer, happier lives. Modifying the ovarian hormones in women through chemical sequencing could be a way to delay menopause for as long as desired. Read more here.
From the comfort of your home, learning how your hormones change during the entire cycle. UK-based Forth, providing at-home blood tests, raised 1.6M to support the launch of a new product, Female Hormone Mapping. The new test doesn’t just test female hormones on a single day, but it also provides a personalized map of how hormones fluctuate during a woman’s cycle, based on the Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms, which show how the hormones fluctuate during a woman’s cycle. Bringing insights into sexual wellness to the next level. A US-based digital wellness company,Rosy, raised a $2M seed round to continue growing its product. New research shows that the aneuploidy test results might not affect the overall birth rate success compared to conventional IVF results without the genetic test. Click here for the research article.
